The total volume of foreign direct investment in the Donetsk region as of June 2021 amounted to USD 2.6 billion – this is the 3rd place in Ukraine and the 2nd place among the Ukrainian regions. We are observing positive dynamics and steps towards sustainable development of the Donetsk region and will continue to work with the authorities to increase the region’s investment attractiveness.
It was stated by UkraineInvest Executive Director Sergiy Tsivkach during the “DO invest” forum organized by the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Donetsk Regional State Administration to present the investment potential of the Donetsk region. The conference brought together representatives of Ukrainian and foreign business, international organizations, state and local authorities.
In 2021, the Donetsk region’s local enterprises have already reached UAH 10,1 bln of capital investments.
“It should be noted that the volume of production in the region increased by 24.8%, and the total volume of industrial production in January-August 2021 compared to the same period in 2020 increased by 7.0%. One of the priority tasks of UkraineInvest is to strengthen the partnership between the state, international community, and business, which will positively affect the quality of life and the region’s investment attractiveness,” stressed Sergiy Tsivkach.
