Bayer in Ukraine:

– have been working for over 30 years
– invested more than EUR 200 million
– created more than 700 jobs
– produces: crop protection products, agricultural seeds

Long before the war broke out, the company invested around EUR 200 million to set up corn seed production at a plant in the Zhytomyr region. Bayer is one of the largest investors in the region. Its taxes make up about 25% of the local government budget. Even in 2022, the company decided to continue investing in the expansion of seed production, and in April 2023 announced a decision to increase it to 60 million euros.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the company has been actively supporting Ukraine, currently providing over €19 million in aid – medicines, medical equipment, crop seeds, demining equipment, as well as financial support to a number of charities and projects to rebuild Ukraine’s medical infrastructure.

The UkraineInvest team is grateful to Bayer management for staying in Ukraine and increasing investment during the war.
