1,497 recipients of grain storage sleeves have been identified as part of the first stage of the assistance program for agrarians

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) have published the results of consideration of applications for humanitarian aid in the form of means of temporary grain storage (sleeves). As part of the first stage of the program, 1,497 recipients of grain storage sleeves with a capacity of 200 tons each have been identified. The project is implemented by the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and FAO with the financial support of Canada, Japan and the Minderoo Foundation for a total amount of USD 60.5 million.

The government has allocated additional UAH 380 million for grants to processing enterprises within eRobota program

The government has allocated UAH 380 million from the reserve fund of the state budget to provide grants to enterprises in the processing industry as part of eRobota program. The main program goal is to stimulate the transition from the export of raw materials to the export of finished products with a higher added value.

Grants will also contribute to the creation of new jobs and development in the processing industry as regards the production of:

• food products;

• furniture;

• chemicals and chemical products;

• finished metal products;

• electrical equipment and non-metallic mineral products;

• wood processing and manufacturing of wood and cork products;

• textile production.

A high-level International Energy Advisory Council has been established under the Ministry of Energy

A high-level International Energy Advisory Council was established under the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, which aims to provide support and assistance to Ukrainian energy companies in overcoming the challenges and threats posed by the undisguised energy terrorism of the russian federation. The first meeting of the International Energy Advisory Council was held on November 1 in Kyiv under the co-chairing of the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko and the European Commissioner for Energy Affairs Kadri Simson. The heads of relevant ministries of the EU countries, Canada, Japan, Great Britain, the USA, as well as the Secretariat of the Energy Community and the International Energy Agency also took part in the meeting. The EU and other international partners are already supplying the necessary energy equipment to Ukraine, and will also provide 26 million euros to cover the most urgent needs through the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, as established by the Energy Community at the initiative of the European Commission. Additional 13 million euros will be directed to the restoration of the laboratories at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant damaged by the Russian occupiers. Another 3.5 million euros will be provided through the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to support the Ukrainian nuclear industry.

Ukraine and USAID will strengthen cooperation in the field of renewable gases and energy saving

The representatives of the Ministry of Energy held a meeting with representatives of the USAID Energy Security Project regarding the development of renewable gases, energy efficiency and energy saving in general. It is expected that energy efficiency will become one of the main principles of post-war recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine. As of today, the Ministry of Energy is finalizing negotiations with the EU regarding the draft Memorandum on strategic partnership in the field of renewable gases. The Strategy for the Development of Hydrogen Energy until 2030 has also been drafted. When implementing local pilot projects for the production, transportation and export of pure hydrogen, the involvement of USAID remains important.
