Responsibilities:
– developing and implementing measures to ensure occupational safety in the institution;
– carry out risk analysis and identify measures to improve working conditions;
– organise and conduct safety briefings for employees;
– maintain health and safety and fire safety documentation;
– ensure the availability and correct use of personal protective equipment;
– organise inspections of fire safety equipment and appliances;
– participating in the resolution of office management and administration issues;
– reporting (preparing reports highlighting problems and key areas for improvement);
– liaising with departmental managers and specialists to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner;
– other: carry out tasks (within authority) as delegated by the Manager.
Skills required:
– work experience in occupational health and safety and fire safety;
– knowledge of the requirements of health and safety legislation and regulations;
– ability to carry out risk analysis and develop measures to improve working conditions;
– ability to organise and conduct staff briefings and training;
– responsibility and attention to detail in documentation;
– knowledge of personal protective equipment and its correct use;
– good organisational skills and ability to solve problems effectively;
– knowledge of office management and ability to use office software;
– communication skills and ability to work in a team;
– fluency in spoken and written Ukrainian and English is a must.
Additional work experience and knowledge of other foreign languages are welcome and may be an advantage.
The position requires working on the territory of Ukraine.
