In July 2022, the “eRobota” grant program was launched in Ukraine, aimed at creating of dozens of thousands of new businesses and jobs at the expense of provision of grants for starting one’s own business, expanding the work of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as improving the qualifications of employees.
Currently, the first 424 entrepreneurs who passed the selection stages and were allowed to start their business or expand an existing business have been identified. In general, more than UAH 98 million of grant aid will be transferred, which can be used for purchasing or leasing equipment, purchasing raw materials, renting premises and other business needs.
The largest number of grants will be directed to entrepreneurs working in the trade sector (142 grants), processing industry (127), accommodation and food industry (66). Regionally, the most successful applications were received in Kyiv city – 101, Kyiv region – 62, Dnipropetrovsk region – 52 and Poltava region – 40.
In total, 5,031 entrepreneurs have already applied for micro-grants through the Diya Portal. Under the condition of successful selection, entrepreneurs receive from 50 to 250 thousand hryvnias. The participant is obliged to conduct activities for 3 years, paying taxes and fees.
