The key messages voiced by Nobumitsu Hayashi, President of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, at the session “Investment Opportunities and De-risking Mechanisms to Mobilise Private Finance” at the Ukraine Recovery Conference URC2023:

– The Japanese Parliament supported the amendments to the legislation, which allow us to provide guarantees for the measures taken by the IBRD, the EBRD, and the International Bank towards Ukraine.
– Together with the Polish Development Bank, we are raising 93 billion euros for the Polish Aid Fund to support the medical, social and educational needs of Ukrainian refugees.
– Joint efforts with the Polish Development Bank are also aimed at providing support to businesses in Ukraine.
