The furniture industry needs access to three critical elements:
– raw materials for processing
– skilled labour
– a competitive energy market
This was stated at the FIT for Ukraine: Furniture Cluster, Marcin Nowacki, Vice President of the Polish Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers (ZPP), said.
According to him, Ukraine has the potential to become a leading production center in this industry.
“We, as representatives of Polish business, are interested in Ukraine becoming a strong industrial center. The furniture industry is one of those where a stable and cost-competitive energy supply is an important factor. Competitive access to energy is currently difficult for the whole of Europe. Potentially, this could be an important argument for Polish and international companies to diversify their production base and find ways to increase business profitability. It is also important for Poland and Ukraine to join forces to expand transport infrastructure, including roads and railways,” said Marcin Nowacki.
ZPP is one of Poland’s leading business associations, improving the business climate in Poland. ZPP promotes the development of small and medium-sized businesses and informs the public about government innovations and draft laws in the field of entrepreneurship and employment.
