Energoatom to build a network of fast charging stations for electric vehicles

SE «NNEGC «Energoatom» plans to build a network of 120 EV charging stations within 2 years: 40 – high powered stations (160+ kW) and 80 – medium powered stations (60+ kW) in regional centers and along the main highways in Ukraine.

For Energoatom, this means entering the retail electricity market, which will significantly increase company’s capitalization. In general, SE «NNEGC «Energoatom» has significant reserve capacities for the safe production of cheap and clean electricity.

To date together with hybrid models, there are nearly 100,000 EVs in Ukraine. As a result, the growing demand for electric vehicles increases the need for the development of charging infrastructure. The development of national charging stations infrastructure is expected to give an impetus for the development of new services using electric vehicles, in particular, in the field of delivery and logistics.

At the same time, usage of electric transport and the development of infrastructure will help Ukraine to reduce its dependence on fossil fuels, decrease harmful emissions, and improve the environmental situation.
