Natalie Jaresko joins UkraineInvest as a Strategic Advisor focusing on finance and investments.

Natalie Jaresko has been appointed to the position of Strategic Advisor of the government investment promotion office UkraineInvest.

Natalie Jaresko is an American-born Ukrainian international finance executive with over 30 years of transformational leadership experience in the public, private and non-governmental sectors. 

From December 2014 to April 2016, Ms. Jaresko served as the Minister of Finance of Ukraine. During her tenure, she led the successful negotiation and implementation of a critical IMF program, including reduction of budget deficits, improved SOE corporate governance, and a complex sovereign debt restructuring. 

In March 2017, Natalie Jaresko was appointed as Executive Director of the Financial Oversight & Management Board of Puerto Rico, where she led the sustainable exit from the largest municipal bankruptcy in U.S. history, while working to restore the Island’s fiscal health.

She spent two decades in private equity, as co-founder/CEO of Horizon Capital and CEO of Western NIS Enterprise Fund, fund managers with over $600 million under management.  She is the Chairperson of Aspen Institute Kyiv, a Commissioner of the Center for Strategic and International Studies Economic Reconstruction Commission, and a Non-resident Distinguished Scholar at the Atlantic Council.  

Natalie Jaresko has joined the UkraineInvest team on a pro-bono basis.
