The government investment promotion office UkraineInvest begins cooperation with the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club.

UkraineInvest Executive Director Sergiy Tsivkach met with UKAB Director General Roman Slaston.

They discussed the need to create more projects for cooperation with foreign investors, as well as the need for additional financing. They agreed to work together to solve these problems and also mentioned the importance of agro-processing and the creation of agro-processing industries in Ukraine.

For many years, Ukraine has been producing raw materials that importing countries process into high value-added goods. Then this product goes to the foreign market and from there to the shelves of our shops. In this way, a foreign processor makes 5-10 times more profit than Ukrainian producers who grow their own agricultural products. Therefore, it is necessary to implement a programme of deep processing of the agricultural sector of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Agrarian Business Club is an association of leading agro-industrial enterprises of Ukraine. In 2022, UKAB will confidently maintain the status of the No. 1 association in the agricultural sector of Ukraine, uniting more than 130 significant representatives of the industry – agricultural companies and suppliers of agricultural resources aimed at further development of domestic agribusiness.
