EU allowed EBRD to lend up to €70 million to the development of railways and pharmacological sector in Ukraine

The agreement will allow the EBRD to provide capital loans of up to €50 million and €20 million to Ukrzaliznytsia JSC and Farmak pharmaceutical company, respectively.

This support will provide needed liquidity to companies and ensure continued access to vital wartime services. In addition, the World Bank can allocate $200 million to Ukrzaliznytsia for the development of grain export capacity. This was previously agreed upon at the Conference in Lugano. About 40-50% of Ukrainian exports are provided by railway.
