Founded in 1867 in Switzerland, Nestlé S.A. is the world’s largest food company with sales of 92,186 billion Swiss francs (2012). Nestlé S.A. has 449 factories in 86 countries around the world, employing nearly 280,000 people. Nestlé products include coffee and beverages, confectionery, cooking, baby and special foods, ice cream and frozen foods, ready-made breakfasts, mineral water, etc. (about 8.5 thousand world-famous brands). Nestlé’s representative office in Ukraine was opened in 1994. 1998 – Acquisition of a controlling stake in PJSC “Svitoch” (Lviv). 2003 – Acquisition of 100% of the shares of Volyn Holding, Volyn Region. (TM “Torchyn”). 2010: Acquisition of Technocom LLC, Kharkiv (Mivina fast food products). 2011: Opening of the Nestlé United Service Centre in Europe (NBS) in Lviv.
