On February 8, a discussion on the status of creation of a construction technology campus in the Lviv region was held in Lviv. The participants were UkraineInvest Executive Director Sergiy Tsivkach, Executive Director for Kingspan Investment project in Ukraine Mike Stenson, Head of Lviv Regional State Administration Maksym Kozytskyi, and Acting Head of Investment Advisory Department of UkraineInvest Victoriia Vlasenko.
Kingspan will invest over €200 million in the project. The campus will consist of 6 production areas, including the manufacture of innovative insulation products and district heating solutions. The Campus will focus on production of higher valued-added construction products.
Representatives of the company have already started looking for sites for the campus in the Lviv region. The company chose this region because of its proximity to the border.
The UkraineInvest team is providing full organizational and advisory support for the development of Kingspan’s project.
“Kingspan’s investment is crucial for Ukraine’s economic development and sends a strong signal to other investors,” said Sergiy Tsivkach, Executive Director of UkraineInvest.
Construction is planned to start in 2024. At full capacity, the campus will employ 600-800 people.
In addition, the project envisages the creation of “green” production with low-carbon content that will have a positive impact on the environment.
“The company has a goal to increase it’s manufacturing capacity and by doing so supporting Ukraine in its reconstruction with the specific focus on low carbon manufacturing”, said Mike Stenson, Executive Director for Kingspan Investment project in Ukraine.
