Ukrainian business has shown that it is resilient to the challenges of war

Ukrainian business has shown that it is resilient to the challenges of war – entrepreneurs continue to positively assess the results and prospects of their activities. This is evidenced by the results of a monthly survey on the business activity expectations index.

Positive expectations were driven, in particular, by:
– lower growth rates of raw materials and energy costs
– gradual adjustment of production and logistics chains
– improved inflation and exchange rate expectations
– revival of domestic demand

Despite the full-scale war, Ukrainian businesses are adapting to the conditions, trying to attract new investments, and restoring supply chains. The majority of companies participating in the survey continue to maintain high expectations of higher prices for their products/services.

For example, industrial enterprises improved their estimates due to a decrease in the growth rate of raw materials and energy costs, the recovery of production and logistics chains, and a slowdown in inflation: the sectoral index is 51.0 (in May – 50.4);
