New facilities for grain processing and storage are available to farmers at privatization auctions

The State Property Fund of Ukraine has announced auctions for the privatization of 2 alcohol production assets in Ternopil region. Auctions are scheduled for September 19 and 20 with starting prices of UAH 25.2 million and UAH 54.3 million. In addition, six more auctions for the privatization of alcohol industry facilities are planned for September.

According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the privatization of alcohol production assets will ensure the use and development of the infrastructure of enterprises for grain storage and processing. Such objects are connected to engineering communications, thus, allowing production to start in a short time and increase the level of food security.

In addition to alcohol production assets, the auctions for the privatization of grain processing plants (GPP) are expected to be announced in the near future. Under the condition of partial modernization and establishment of effective work in private ownership, GPP will be able to establish grain processing and provide the domestic market with cereals, pasta products, flakes and other goods, which will also be exported to the foreign market.
