Who we are
UkraineInvest is the Ukrainian government’s investment promotion office created in 2016 to attract foreign direct investment and assist existing investors to expand their businesses in Ukraine.
From its inception as a consultative body reporting to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, UkraineInvest has transformed into a full-fledged government institution committed to providing investors with “one-stop support” consisting of reliable, current information and advice on doing business in Ukraine; identifying optimal investment opportunities; guiding investors through government agencies at all levels, and helping to resolve any systemic issues investors may face.
As a result, UkraineInvest has succeeded in helping unlock $5 billion of foreign direct investment.
Information about UkraineInvest services
Since 2016, UkraineInvest is making every effort to ensure a smooth and successful landing for a foreign investor to the Ukrainian business environment. Aside from promotional activities, UkraineInvest provides free and comprehensive services that help to register a business in Ukraine, choose the right form of organization, find opportunities for cooperation, analyze markets and overcome obstacles. Our services can be categorized into six groups.
Navigation and Guidance
UkraineInvest can help with identifying opportunities, troubleshooting and providing direction. Our services are always tailored to meet the needs of each investor. We are aimed at helping businesses understand what regions or areas of Ukraine might best suit their business needs – or a more social form of navigational support – helping foreigners understand Ukraine’s particular rhythms and local business practices.
Information and Insight
Ukraine is a big country with opportunities in a wide variety of sectors. Each new business comes with a checklist of needs that can include decisions on choices between greenfield or brownfield sites, city or regional locations. Our experts can provide all the details that might help to make an informed decision. UkraineInvest works to understand the investor’s requirements and then helps identify the places and the projects that may have relevant advantages.
Introductions
When starting a new business in a new country, one of the most important things an investor can do is build a network of connections. Whether a business is large or small, serving the domestic or international markets, finding people who can answer questions, provide insight, share stories and open doors can make all the difference. We have connections across the country in business and government to connect investors to those they want and need to know.
Key Sector Expertise
Our team has the experience and knows the insights in high potential, high growth sectors, and niche markets, which means clients benefit from both a broad view and an in-depth look at the opportunities. UkraineInvest can work with your business development team and provide the information and referrals needed, from local service providers to details about regions to be considered.
Regional Support
We are based in Kyiv but work nationwide and in close cooperation with regional partners. Whatever region the investor would choose, UkraineInvest is ready to provide services in the shortest possible time and taking into account the local circumstances.
Advocacy
UkraineInvest is an important voice for business as we speak directly to the government. From helping investors solve certain issues to advising the government on how to create a more business-friendly environment, our voice is the investor’s voice.
