Experts from Europe’s legal and financial sector presented the main tools for Ukraine’s recovery at the UkrainePlatform online conference. The event brought together businesses, private investors, IPAs, and representatives of the European Commission.
UkraineInvest Deputy Executive Director Yevhenii Shakotko joined the conference with an opening speech.
“As you may already know, Ukraine will establish the Ukraine Development Fund (UDF), which will work to attract private capital for the reconstruction process. The financial markets group of BlackRock, one of the world’s largest investment companies, is advising the Ukrainian side on the creation of the fund. A great indicator of the interest of capital in entering Ukraine is the statement of Andrew Forrest, Australian businessman, chairman of Tattarang and Fortescue Metals, who will act as an anchor investor and invest $500 million in the Fund. Speaking at the Ukraine Recovery Conference, he called on other global investors to see Ukraine as an excellent long-term investment opportunity,” noted Yevhenii Shakotko.
