We are working to attract Polish investment into the Ukrainian IT sector.
During the war, IT was almost the only sector of the economy that continued to develop, creating new jobs, implementing new projects and attracting investment. Although the full-scale war affected all sectors of the economy. The IT industry remains a pillar of Ukraine and can become one of the main drivers of development in the future.
The Acting Head of the Investment Attraction and Support Department of UkraineInvest, Maxim Bondarenko, presented the investment potential of the Ukrainian IT/ICT sector at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kyiv during the “Industry Consultations of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency: IT/ICT”. The event was held in cooperation with the Polish business community in preparation for the recovery of exports and the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.
In particular, Maksym Bondarenko emphasised that IT not only holds the economic front, but also supports the army. Today, Ukraine is fighting its first digital war. The weapons on the battlefield are not only assault rifles and tanks, but also data and technology. Innovative developments by Ukrainian IT workers are helping to save soldiers’ lives and bring us closer to victory.
The event was attended by representatives of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, the Economic Department of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, the Ministry of Development and Trade, the Association of Cities of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Association of Fintech and Innovative Companies.
