Marina Besignano has joined the UkraineInvest team as a Strategic Advisor on a pro-bono basis.

Marina Besignano, a legal advisor with experience in fund formation and international investment, has been appointed to the position of Strategic Advisor of the government investment promotion office UkraineInvest.

Marina Besignano is a partner at a global law firm, Mayer Brown Law LLP, and a member of the firm’s Corporate and Securities practice in New York. She represents investment fund managers, financial institutions and investors in connection with the structuring, fundraising and operation of private investment funds.

Marina has multi-jurisdictional qualifications and extensive fund formation experience in New York and London. Being born and raised in Dnipro, Ukraine, Marina understands well the specifics of doing business in Eastern Europe and has advised clients who are based in the region or seeking to invest in Eastern European markets.

In addition to corporate clients, Marina has assisted many private individuals and small businesses on a pro bono basis. She has volunteered for NYLAG, Human Rights First, Start Small Think Big, Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts and many other initiatives.
