Ukraine’s new air carrier Air Ocean Airlines performed its first flight on the Kyiv-Mykolaiv route

We are proud of the successes of state aviation and attracting new investments in Ukraine’s aviation industry.

Ukraine’s new air carrier Air Ocean Airlines performed its first flight on the Kyiv-Mykolaiv route. This is the only airline in Ukraine that uses AN148/158 aircraft for passenger transportation, developed at the state-owned ANTONOV Company.

Air Ocean Airlines representatives noted that the company works with European investors and partners. It became possible to attract them to cooperation thanks to creating a favorable investment climate by the state, in particular the joint work of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, UkraineInvest, and the Verkhovna Rada with the business community.

According to the head of the Servant of the People faction and the head of the supervisory board of UkraineInvest David Arakhamia, the strategy of using domestic aircraft is one of the first positive trends in the state aviation industry after the signing of the Open Skies agreement between Ukraine and the European Union.

The airline will carry out a full cycle of aircraft maintenance in Ukraine. This localization will stimulate the creation of new jobs and further enhance Ukraine’s economy.
