UkraineInvest Executive Director Sergiy Tsivkach took part in the business forum “Ukraine – Italy: discover new opportunities of cooperation” organized by Confindustria Ucraina together with the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Among the key topics of the meeting were opportunities for strengthening economic cooperation and the prospects for attracting Italian investments to Ukraine. Representatives of the diplomatic and business circles of Ukraine and Italy discussed possible ways to intensify relations between the two countries. A round table of Italian entrepreneurs with the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna was also held as part of the visit.
Sergiy Tsivkach emphasized that UkraineInvest is developing the “Make in UA” program, according to which, due to its geographical location, proximity to EU markets, skilled labor force, and extensive transport infrastructure, Ukraine becomes a European manufacturing hub. According to him, state support for investment projects with significant investments, the adoption of amendments to the Law “On Industrial Parks” is an important signal of the business climate improvement in Ukraine and an incentive to increase foreign direct investments in the country.
