Under the transparent online auction which was held on July 15, the Dnipro Hotel was sold for over UAH 1,1 billion. Yesterday, this amount was transferred to the state budget and the winner of the auction has fulfilled all the conditions to obtain ownership of the asset.
Dnipro Hotel is a success story of privatization and signalizes a great leap forward Ukraine has made after years of stagnation. During the auction, the price has gone up 13 times! In addition, the winner plans to transform the hotel into a base for cybersport events and feature unique e-sporting elements to make Kyiv an e-sports Mecca.
Since the beginning of the year, the Fund has held 1,548 auctions for a total amount of almost UAH 2 billion.
