UkraineInvest presented promising Ukrainian investment projects to the Japan External Trade Development Organisation (JETRO).
During a working meeting with a delegation from the Japan External Trade Development Organisation (JETRO), the UkraineInvest team presented a number of investment projects located in different regions of Ukraine, offering investors opportunities in key sectors of the economy. These include projects in agriculture, renewable energy, infrastructure, industry, etc. The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine recently registered JETRO’s representative office in Ukraine.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has ratified a EUR 200 million grant agreement with France.
The agreement provides for grants for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of critical infrastructure and for projects in priority sectors of the economy. These funds are intended for companies that will invest in critical infrastructure for the reconstruction of Ukraine.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has included Sokyryany Industrial Hub and KIT in the register of industrial parks.
Both industrial parks will create approximately 1,350 industrial jobs. The total investment in Sokyryany Industrial Hub may reach UAH 620 million in the period 2024-2026, with companies from the UAE and Germany as investors. KIT Industrial Park plans to raise UAH 1.75 billion in private and credit funds for its development.

Ukrainian municipalities can win European grants for environmental and climate development projects.
We are talking about EUR 5.4 billion allocated by the European Commission for environmental and climate projects under the LIFE 2021-2027 grant programme.

Since the beginning of the year, investment funds have completed 13 deals worth more than USD 5 billion, which is more than for the whole of 2023.
Companies are now looking to deploy capital ahead of their own plans in anticipation of lower interest rates from the Federal Reserve. The largest deal in 2024 involving a private equity fund was Silver Lake’s acquisition of Endeavor Group Holdings Inc, the organiser of the Ultimate Fighter Championship mixed martial arts tournament, for more than USD 21 billion.

DFC has established a permanent presence in Ukraine.
Representatives of the US Corporation for International Development (DFC) have started working in Ukraine on a permanent basis. DFC has also launched a special website dedicated to its work in Ukraine. Before Russia’s full-scale invasion, DFC’s investments in Ukraine totalled USD 800 million, but since the beginning of the year they have more than doubled to USD 848 million. As of 12 August, DFC’s total portfolio stood at around USD 1.6 billion.

Ukrainian company DroneUA has won its third government contract in the United States.
This is the largest tender in the company’s history. After a year of active work on the American continent, the DroneUA team has become a federal contractor in the United States.

USAID has awarded a new USD 2.76 million grant to OTP Bank to support small businesses in Ukraine.
The financial assistance aims to expand access to affordable credit for entrepreneurs. This is the second grant under the Invest for Business Resilience project, bringing total support to USD 4 million.
