Ukrainian companies continue to assess their business prospects positively

This is reflected in the results of the monthly survey of the index of business expectations.

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the index of business expectations rose from 43.6 to 44.4 in July.

The positive changes were made possible by

  • the ability of enterprises to adapt to the problems of energy supply;
  • stable operation of maritime transport;
  • stable inflation expectations;
  • the easing of currency restrictions;
  • a seasonal upturn in some industries.

Negative effects on business include

  • deteriorating security;
  • the risk of terrorist attacks on critical infrastructure;
  • prolonged rebuilding of infrastructure;
  • exchange rate volatility;
  • shortage of skilled personnel.
