Ukraine’s European integration: new opportunities for investors

Ukraine continues to make steady progress towards European Union membership, having been granted candidate status and concluded five important visa-free agreements with the EU:

  • energy visa-free regime: joining ENTSO-e, which ensures the integration of Ukraine’s energy system with the European grid;
  • customs visa-free regime: joining the NCTS, which simplifies customs procedures and speeds up trade with EU countries;
  • transport visa free regime: removal of road transport barriers, facilitating the development of logistics;
  • digital visa free regime: mutual recognition of qualified electronic trust services, facilitating digital interaction between Ukraine and the EU;
  • economic visa-free regime: abolition of all EU tariffs and quotas on Ukrainian goods, opening up new export opportunities.

Ukraine’s status as an EU candidate and its need for reconstruction make it attractive to foreign investors.
