The EU-Ukraine Business Summit took place in Brussels on 10-11 April. This key event serves as a platform for strengthening Ukraine’s economic integration with the European Union and enhancing cooperation with European businesses and financial institutions.
Alyona Sumina, Acting Head of the Legal Affairs and Regulatory Policy Department at UkraineInvest, participated in the summit on behalf of the organization. During a panel discussion, she presented a comprehensive overview of Ukraine’s legal and regulatory environment for investors, prepared by the UkraineInvest team. Her presentation covered key aspects of doing business in Ukraine, including company registration procedures, features of the tax system, and investment incentives available to foreign investors.
UkraineInvest’s representative emphasised that Ukraine has entered a crucial phase of recovery and modernisation. With the EU’s support through the Ukraine Facility, the country has a unique opportunity to build a modern, competitive economy. Now is the time for European companies to be part of Ukraine’s transformation – from manufacturing and logistics to green energy, digital innovation and high-tech industries.
The Business Summit also served as a preparatory stage for the 2025 Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC-2025). The event was organized by the European Commission with the support of the Mission of Ukraine to the EU, as well as the governments of Italy and Poland.
