On June 3, UkraineInvest held the first session of its newly established Permanent Seminar on Investment Practice. The event, initiated by UkraineInvest, focused on the topic: “Updating European Investment Legislation as a Foundation for Improving Ukraine’s Investment Legal Framework.”
The keynote speaker was Dr. Olha Bakalinska, Doctor of Law, Professor, and Head of the Innovation Development and Investment Support Division at the Department of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Her presentation addressed the foreign policy dimension of investment cooperation and ways to enhance Ukraine’s international investment image.
Particular emphasis was placed on aligning Ukrainian legislation with European Union standards and regulations. Participants agreed that harmonizing legal norms in the investment sector is a critical step toward sustainable development and Ukraine’s integration into the European economic space.
The seminar brought together members of the UkraineInvest Supervisory Board, Members of Parliament, representatives of relevant parliamentary committees and the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, as well as experts and partners.
