UkraineInvest and the Business Ombudsman Council join forces to improve Ukraine’s investment climate

UkraineInvest and the Business Ombudsman Council have agreed on strategic cooperation aimed at improving the investment climate, protecting the legitimate rights of businesses and attracting investors who will make a significant contribution to the Ukrainian economy.

During a working meeting held at the UkraineInvest office, the parties discussed pressing issues facing investors, explored prospects for cooperation and identified priority sectors for investment.

“This partnership is particularly important as UkraineInvest continues its efforts to attract investment to Ukraine and contribute to fostering a favourable investment climate. We are joining forces to strengthen business confidence in Ukraine as a promising platform for investment,” said Oleksandr Melnychenko, Acting Executive Director of UkraineInvest.

Ukraine continues to improve its legal framework for investment. In April this year, new investment legislation came into force which, despite the challenges of war, creates opportunities for private capital to contribute to the country’s reconstruction. The Ukrainian government is actively working to create favourable conditions for business and to boost the confidence of both foreign and domestic investors.

“The Business Ombudsman Council addresses not only specific problems faced by entrepreneurs, including investors, but also systemic problems within the business environment. This is where our work coincides with UkraineInvest. We look forward to continuing our cooperation to improve the conditions for doing business in Ukraine,” said Business Ombudsman Roman Waschuk.
