JICA presented the concept of the innovation fund “Supporting Ukraine–Japan Joint Innovation through Fund Mechanism.” The initiative is designed to reduce investor risks and promote joint Ukraine–Japan business projects, addressing Ukraine’s reconstruction needs, which exceed USD 500 billion.
JICA is currently conducting a study of Ukraine’s investment climate, the results of which will guide the next steps in implementing the innovation fund.
UkraineInvest continues to develop a structured sectoral project portfolio, opening new opportunities for business growth and capital attraction. Particular focus is placed on building a pipeline of projects in key sectors—agriculture, demining, healthcare, dual-use products, and technologies—that may be of interest to Japanese investors.
The JICA team also presented 11 pilot projects developed in cooperation with government institutions, universities, and local communities. These include initiatives focused on infrastructure recovery, agribusiness development, digital solutions, education, and human capital growth.
Partnership with Japanese businesses facilitates the introduction of advanced technologies, supporting Ukraine’s rapid economic growth and post-war recovery.
