Ukraine and Switzerland launch a new CHF 50 million grant programme for investment projects

On 30 April 2026, Oleksii Sobolev, Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, met with Jacques Gerber, Special Envoy of the Swiss Federal Council for Ukraine. The discussion was also attended by representatives of UkraineInvestExecutive Director Maryna Khlystun and Artur Fedotenko, Head of the International Institutional Cooperation.

The meeting focused on Switzerland’s strategic support for Ukraine, including strengthening the energy resilience of communities and financing large-scale investment projects within the framework of intergovernmental cooperation.

Following the negotiations, a Memorandum was signed between the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), formally launching the third phase of the grant programme for investment projects involving Swiss business.

Key programme parameters:

  • Total budget of the new call: CHF 50 million (approximately EUR 54.5 million);
  • The Swiss Government is prepared to cover up to 50% of the cost of investment projects implemented with the participation of Swiss business;
  • The new call will focus on supporting the private sector in key sectors: construction, mechanical engineering, renewable energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, agribusiness, IT and digitalisation.

The programme is designed to stimulate long-term investment, localise production, develop modern infrastructure, and deepen Ukraine’s economic integration with European partners.
