The EBRD plans to invest EUR 1.5-2 bln annually in projects in Ukraine over the next five years

The Bank will focus on five key areas of support for Ukraine, both in the private and public sectors.

These areas include:

  • energy security;
  • critical infrastructure;
  • food security;
  • business support;
  • trade finance.

The EBRD has increased its investment since the russian invasion in February 2022 and, in October 2023, exceeded its target of EUR 3 bln in Ukraine for 2022-2023. The total amount of funds allocated to Ukraine since the beginning of the russian invasion has reached EUR 3.8 bln.
