Ukrainian adtech startup attracted $3.4 million of investments


Influ2 is a Ukrainian startup that develops an advertising targeting platform. The company has attracted $3.4 million of investments in a seed round. The Influ2 idea lies in target advertising to specific people taking into account the frequency and quality of their engagement with it. The startup’s investors are One Way Ventures, VentureFriends and venture capitalist from Kazakhstan, Murat Abdrakhmanov, and Peter Harrison, former CEO of GlobalLogic. The company reports that its revenues have increased fivefold since 2019 and by 251% in the first half of 2020 despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

Firefly has successfully tested the first stage of the Alpha rocket


A U.S. rocket and space technology company with an R&D center in Dnipro has successfully tested the first stage of the Ukrainian-U.S. Alpha rocket! The four Reaver engines performed 35 seconds of thrust vector control maneuvers, challenging the flame deflectors to constrain all that Reaver power. Max Poliakov, the businessman and owner of Firefly, says that the launch of the rocket will be a huge milestone for the company and an important event for Ukraine.

The Irshanska solar park has been successfully completed

TeslaENERGO has announced the completion of the construction project of Irshanska solar park of 30,265 MWp capacity. The solar park is a powerful object of infrastructure in the Zhytomyr region: 47 hectares of land, 34 560 piles, 91 048 solar modules, 7 central inverters and its own 110/10 kV 25 MVA substation. The amount of the investments is 27 million EUR. UkraineInvest was happy to assist the company in their project implementation. Read more.


Dragon Capital to build E40 Industrial Park near Kyiv


Dragon Capital, one of the largest groups of companies in Ukraine, plans to build the E40 Industrial Park project, located at the 27th kilometer of the Kyiv-Zhytomyr highway (Kolonshchyna village). The implementation of the first stage of E40 Industrial Park premises is expected to be launched in 2021. The total area of the industrial park premises will be 200 thousand square meters, which will include Class A production and storage facilities, cross-docking terminals, office and household and infrastructure facilities (hotel, truck maintenance station, etc.), reads the company’s press release. 


Netflix becomes a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine


Netflix, one of  the U.S. largest  technology and media services providers and production companies, becomes a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine (ACC). Currently, Netflix is filming its first feature in Ukraine. The company’s partners in Ukraine are Postmodern Postproduction and Tak Treba Production that will be duplicating service products in Ukrainian. Earlier this year,  Discovery Communications Europe Limited also joined the ACC in Ukraine. 


Kovalska to invest $70 million in the construction of five buildings in Unit.City 


Kovalska Industrial-Construction Group, one of the largest manufacturers of building materials in Ukraine and one of the leading developers, is investing $70 million in the construction of five buildings in Unit.City. The total area of these business campuses is 70,000 square meters. The project is expected to be completed in 4 years. As Dominique Piotet, the CEO of Unit.City, writes on his FB page, all buildings will be certified according to the Leed Silver green standart. 


Ukraine and Slovakia to work on the development of multimodal transportation between EU and Asia


The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Ministry of Transport and Construction of the Slovak Republic on the development of the transport corridors within the Silk Road Economic Belt. 
Both Ukraine and Slovakia are extremely interested in developing their transit potential and improving the processes of organizing the delivery of goods in containers from the EU countries to China and vice versa. In early September, we held consultations with the Slovak side to intensify cooperation in the development of the Silk Road through the territory of Ukraine and Slovakia. Today we are reaffirming them with the relevant memorandum,” says Vladyslav Krykliy, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
