UkraineInvest’s Head of Legal Affairs, Oleksandr Melnychenko, delivered a presentation to representatives of Polish businesses, showcasing the investment opportunities that Ukraine is opening to foreign partners today – without waiting for the war to end.
Mr. Melnychenko emphasized that despite the ongoing war, investment activity in Ukraine continues. As of today, UkraineInvest is facilitating 38 investment projects totaling approximately EUR 3 billion, expected to create more than 12,000 new jobs. These initiatives span sectors such as logistics, mining and processing industries, education, renewable energy, healthcare, and recreation – covering most regions of Ukraine, which demonstrates that investing in Ukraine is possible right now.
“Ukraine is shaping an ambitious vision of its economic future and invites partners to join in making it a reality. Investments made today will bring results in the coming years,” – underlined Oleksandr Melnychenko.
He also drew attention to the Law on State Support for Investment Projects with Significant Investments, which provides incentives for projects starting from EUR 12 million. Investors can benefit from up to 30% of their investment costs in the form of tax exemptions and compensations, including:
The law covers key sectors of Ukraine’s economy – including energy, logistics, transport, healthcare, education, and manufacturing.
Mr. Melnychenko noted that Poland can become one of the leaders in Ukraine’s recovery, and the most effective way to achieve this is through partnership with Ukrainian institutions.
“UkraineInvest supports investors at every stage – from identifying opportunities to full project implementation,” he added.
Event participants also received Ukraine’s Investment Guide, designed to help identify priority sectors and the most promising areas for cooperation.
