The Portuguese Trade and Investment Agency (AICEP) will conduct a series of training sessions for the UkraineInvest team. This will allow UkraineInvest specialists to further expand their knowledge and train Ukrainian entrepreneurs in effective methods of attracting FDI and helping Ukrainian companies enter international markets.
This was discussed during a meeting between Yulia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, and Joana Gaspar, Member of the Board of AICEP Portugal Global, the Portuguese Trade and Investment Agency.
‘“We are strengthening our cooperation with Portugal in the field of investment. AICEP’s training will help UkraineInvest professionals and companies acquire the knowledge and tools to attract foreign direct investment and successfully enter the global market, including strengthening e-commerce in international trade, conducting business missions, participating in international exhibitions and enabling Ukrainian companies to participate in international procurement. The programme will focus primarily on small and medium-sized enterprises,’” said Yulia Svyrydenko.
According to her, AICEP is already actively working with Ukrainian companies and supporting the work of Portuguese companies in Ukraine. Even during the war, three large Portuguese companies were successfully operating in our country – in the fields of medicine, metallurgy and irrigation.
“We want to increase the presence of Portuguese companies in Ukraine. That is why, during the meeting with AICEP, we presented a list of priority investment projects. Portuguese investors are particularly interested in renewable energy and digitalisation,” explained Yulia Svyrydenko.
AICEP is the Portuguese Trade and Investment Agency. It is a government organisation that promotes domestic investment and the entry of Portuguese companies into foreign markets. AICEP has offices in Portugal and 50 other countries.
