At the invitation of PAIH, the UkraineInvest team visited Poland to share experiences and deepen partnerships

UkraineInvest representatives took part in an intensive programme to learn about the approaches and business support tools offered by PAIH to Polish and international investors. They also presented Ukrainian legislation on investment attraction to the Polish side and talked about the first results of the implementation of new initiatives.

One of the key events was the participation of UkraineInvest experts in the Common Future 2024 Congress of Rebuilding Ukraine, where Polish businesses and government agencies discussed opportunities for rebuilding Ukraine’s infrastructure. Nazar Kohut, Investment Advisor of the Investment Advisory Department of UkraineInvest, presented state incentives for investors provided by the Law of Ukraine “On State Support of Investment Projects with Significant Investments”. During the event it was announced the creation of a special fund for Polish companies involved in the reconstruction of Ukraine, as well as the continuation of the selection of projects for financing by the Union Instrument for Ukraine (Ukraine Facility) programme.

In addition to the panel discussions, UkraineInvest organised a seminar for Polish businessmen on the possibilities of significant investments in Ukraine. High interest in Ukraine was also observed at the stand of UkraineInvest, organised with the support of Grupa MTP, which was actively visited by Polish business representatives. The interest of Polish businessmen shows their readiness to contribute to Ukraine’s recovery.

The trip opened new opportunities for cooperation and exchange of experience. The UkraineInvest team held a series of meetings with partners of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) in Toruń, including representatives of the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone and Industrial Park, to discuss prospects for the development of industrial zones. In Warsaw, the UkraineInvest delegation met with teams from the Promotion, Strategic Analysis and European Projects Departments, as well as with members of the PAIH Board and representatives of BGK (Bank Polski Krajowy). The day ended with a productive meeting with the team of Diia Business Warsaw, the only foreign representative office of Diia Business. The 11th of October was marked by intensive discussions with the investment and export support departments of PAIH, which allowed us to learn more about business development tools.
