Along with the number of electric cars, the number of fast charging stations is also growing

Almost 38,000 electric vehicles were imported to Ukraine in 2023 alone, effectively doubling the vehicle fleet. Along with the number of electric cars, the number of fast charging stations is also growing.

In an interview with delo.ua, Maryna Kytina, Chief Advisor to the Executive Director of UkraineInvest, noted that Ukraine has already surpassed its closest neighbours with the existing infrastructure and the number of charging stations is growing rapidly.

“We have a monthly increase of 4,500-5,000 electric cars, both used and new. The infrastructure is getting better every day. The plans presented to us by the operators of electric charging stations suggest that we will soon be approaching the European indicators. And in the spring and summer we will see a very large increase in the electric charging infrastructure in cities and outside cities. Connections will be developed not only between cities with more than a million inhabitants, but also in less popular destinations,” Maryna Kytina emphasises.
