In the three years of its existence, the Temporary Special Parliamentary Commission for the Protection of Investors’ Rights in Ukraine has resolved 22 cases




The Temporary Special Parliamentary Commission for the Protection of Investors’ Rights in Ukraine has resolved 22 cases worth UAH 25 bln.

According to the head of the Comission, Galyna Yanchenko, most of these are complaints about the blocking of tax invoices. 

The Commission’s work is focused on two areas: resolving high-profile investor cases and improving the country’s investment attractiveness through legislation.

The main tasks of the Commission are as follows
– preparing and submitting to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine legislative initiatives to protect investors’ rights and ensure effective investment in the Ukrainian economy;
– identifying priority areas for improving legislation to create conditions for investment activity;
– to ensure the protection of investors’ rights;
– to conduct parliamentary cooperation with business associations and specialised structures to facilitate the creation of favourable conditions for attracting investment;
– to collect and analyse, within the limits of its competence, information for parliamentary hearings on cases of violation of business rights.
