We would like to inform you that Oleksandr Melnychenko has been appointed Acting Executive Director of UkraineInvest by the Order of the Secretary of State of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 7 December 2023.
Oleksandr Melnychenko is a Merited Lawyer of Ukraine (1998) and worked as a judge in the Kyiv courts for 12 years. He later held senior positions as Deputy, First Deputy, Acting Chairman of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, senior positions in the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry and the Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine.
With his participation and under his guidance, more than 200 laws and other regulatory acts in the field of antitrust law have been developed.
In addition, Oleksandr Melnychenko has represented Ukraine in a number of intergovernmental negotiations, Global Competition Forums, the UNCTAD Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Competition Policy and Law, and is an honorary member of the Ukrainian Bar Association and a member of the Executive Committee of the Ukrainian Lawyers’ Union.
He has been working at UkraineInvest since 2019, first as Chief Advisor to the Executive Director, and since September 2023 as Head of the Legal Affairs and Regulatory Policy Department.
