The World Bank’s International Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) has provided the first investment guarantees for private investors in Ukraine

The agreements include insurance worth up to USD 9.1 mln for the M10 Industrial Park project in Lviv. The insurance covers military risks for 10 years. This will create a new industrial and logistics infrastructure, warehouse space, and in turn will contribute to the economic development of the region during the war and the country’s recovery after the victory.

MIGA’s guarantee sends an important signal to international investors to intensify war risk insurance in Ukraine.

“The guarantees provided by MIGA send a positive signal to new potential investors considering investing in Ukraine. This step opens up opportunities for business development and the creation of production chains in different regions of Ukraine. We continue to support and facilitate war risk insurance programmes for the private sector in Ukraine and believe that in close cooperation with donors and the international financial community, many Ukrainian and foreign companies will be able to apply for and receive new guarantees,” emphasised Yulia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
