Ukraine paves the way to "customs visa-free regime"

Yesterday, the Joint Committee of the Conventions on Joint Transit and Simplification of Formalities decided to invite Ukraine to become the 36th state to join to Conventions from October 1.

“Visa-free Custom regime” will contribute to the construction of convenient and transparent customs in Ukraine, faster movement of goods between the countries of the European region and elimination of bureaucracy at customs.

This became possible due to Ukraine’s proactive actions aimed at harmonizing legislation with EU customs legislation. In mid-August, relevant changes were made to the Customs Code.

Also, the electronic queue project at the border is currently being implemented, and work is underway to create joint checkpoints with European countries and modern service areas at all checkpoints.
In addition, the customs office is being digitized, which will certainly add convenience for citizens.
