The event is traditionally held with the support of UkraineInvest.
German companies are actively involved in rebuilding Ukraine. Despite the war, a number of bilateral investment projects have already been launched, and German businesses are applying for investment guarantees from the federal government with 30 additional projects.
The key topics of the forum are Ukraine’s economic development during the war and opportunities for cooperation and investment.
The participants will focus on
– implementation of existing and plans for new investment projects;
– finding new ways to insure military risks;
– future strategic partnerships;
– rebuilding and recovery;
– rethinking Ukraine as a member of a united Europe and its important role in the European Union.
The event was attended by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz, as well as German and Ukrainian government officials and the business community. UkraineInvest CEO Sergiy Tsivkach moderated the discussion panel “Current challenges and solutions in the field of reconstruction and recovery”.
The Sixth German-Ukrainian Economic Forum is an important step towards the international conference on reconstruction Recovery Ukraine in Berlin in June 2024. The Forum is organised by the Eastern Committee of the German Economy in cooperation with the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the German-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK). Such events facilitate new agreements, new investments and new projects in Ukraine.
