Ukraine and the US have agreed on transport cooperation

Ukraine and US have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation that provides improving cooperation between the two countries on transport sector and rebuilding Ukraine now.

Among the key results of the Memorandum are the renewal of the entire fleet of locomotives and wagons by 2030, creating a high-speed rail system between major cities and improved railway infrastructure. In addition, the Memorandum provides for the modernization of highways and the installation of automatic weighing stations.

The Memorandum also confirms the intentions of the parties to continue the close cooperation on airspace security and safe operation of civil aviation, attracting investment from the US private sector, development and implementation of good quality and environmentally friendly aviation fuels and other clean technologies, promoting digital technology and cooperation on improving cybersecurity in transport and exchange information on new cyber threats, promoting environmentally friendly fuels.
