French companies are ready to invest in the Ukrainian economy and show interest in cooperation with Ukrainian enterprises, including the possibility of setting up their own production.

This was discussed during a meeting of UkraineInvest’s management with the Commercial Counsellor of the French Embassy in Ukraine, Director for Ukraine and Head of the Ukraine Reconstruction Project at Business France Romain Desthieux.

The parties discussed

– attracting innovative financial instruments for recovery;
– creating a favourable business climate;
– investment risk insurance for French businesses willing to operate in Ukraine.

They discussed the readiness of Bpifrance Assurance Export to insure French businesses that will invest in Ukraine. Such insurance will generally cover up to 95% of the investor’s assets or receivables. Its main condition is active participation in the reconstruction of Ukraine before the end of the full-scale war.

France is among the top 10 countries currently investing in the Ukrainian economy. Despite russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, French companies have strong positions in the Ukrainian market, and the government is increasing its support for Ukraine.
