UkraineInvest Director Sergiy Tsivkach participated in the session “Investment opportunities in Ukraine” moderated by Alexander Markus, chairman of @AHK Ukraine within the 4th German-Ukrainian Business forum.

 Key highlights from UkraineInvest CEO speech: 

  • Ukraine is working hard to boost its competitiveness on global investment markets, hence Ukrainian parliament  recently adopted legislation designed to improve the business climate and introduce a range of incentives for investors.
  • UkraineInvest will play an important role in providing assistance to companies willing to invest over 20 mln Eur within 5 years according to the Law on State Support for Investment Projects with Significant Investments. State support will cover up to 30% of investment made.
  • Ukraine can be interesting to German business in terms of nearshoring due to proximity to strategic markets and cost-competitive advantage to place production platforms
  • Transparent privatization creates an opportunity to acquire assets at a lower price and scale businesses by establishing operations in Ukraine.
  • Ukraine is rich with critical mineral resources used in high-tech industries worldwide like lithium and cobalt. Their extraction and development can bring more than $10 billion of investments to the country.
