Austrian investments in Ukraine totalled EUR 1.62 bln as of the beginning of 2023

Austrian investments in Ukraine totalled EUR 1.62 bln as of the beginning of 2023. This proves that all our joint efforts – of the government, Ukrainian and Austrian businesses – are bearing fruit.

This was stated by the CEO of UkraineInvest at the International Private Investor Conference in Vienna, Austria.

“It is possible and necessary to invest in Ukraine. UkraineInvest is currently developing 32 projects totalling about USD 2.4 bln. This means that the investment climate is functioning and needs to be improved. This is what the government, parliament, and the president’s team are working on. Our top priority now is to promote investment and support investment projects in the most attractive sectors of Ukraine’s economy,” said Sergiy Tsivkach.

The Executive Director of UkraineInvest presented to the Austrian business community available investment risk insurance mechanisms, investment incentives and opportunities, and projects currently being implemented by international investors in Ukraine.

There are currently almost 200 branches of Austrian companies operating in Ukraine. 25 of them are manufacturing companies employing 20,000 Ukrainians. The largest Austrian investors include Raiffeisen Bank, Erste Bank, OMV Group, Strabag, Henkel, Voestalpine, Wienerberger, Lenzing, S&T Group, Borealis, Verbund, and others.
