The Innovation Development Fund has invested USD 8.7 mln in 380 start-ups over 4 years.
Over 4 years, the Innovation Development Fund (Ukrainian Startup Fund) has invested USD 8.7 mln in 380 startups for development and scaling. For the first time, the Fund selected 15 Ukrainian startups that have made a significant contribution to the development of the startup ecosystem, continue to grow and create innovative products. The startup of the year was S.lab, which produces eco-friendly packaging made from plant components as a replacement for foam.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine is providing UAH 4.4 mln to four startups for the development of open data projects.
As part of the Open Datathon reUkraine competition, the Ministry of Digital Transformation is providing UAH 4.4 mln for the development of open data projects aimed at supporting reconstruction and fighting corruption. The best solutions received UAH 1.1 mln in funding to implement and further develop their ideas.

Ukrainian education startup Preply will raise USD 10 mln from the EBRD, IFC and Horizon Capital.
The investment is part of a USD 70 mln funding initiative led by Horizon Capital. The investors said the new funding will allow Preply to expand its research and development initiatives, introduce artificial intelligence to enrich the learning process and launch new product lines.

The European AFCOS service will be used in Ukraine to control funds from international donors.
The model will operate within the framework of the EU budget, namely the Multi-annual Financing Programme for 2021-2027.

Ukrainian Respeecher, which uses AI to reproduce voices, has received a USD 1 mln investment.
The investment, which came from entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk, ffVC Poland, SID Venture Partners, Bad Ideas and ICU, will be used to scale and develop the ethical aspect of the company’s operations. Respeecher also plans to expand its team and develop its unique technology, voice marketplace and communication products, including support for patients with speech impairments.
