The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has committed nearly USD 1 bln to help rebuild Ukraine’s private sector

Approximately USD 620 mln of the funding for Ukraine –  part of a USD 2 bln package announced in December 2022 – comes from IFC’s own balance sheet and a further USD 360 mln from external financing.

To date, IFC has financed USD 304 mln in guarantees in the agricultural sector, supported by the World Bank’s Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency, for grain imports and exports, and for the production of solar panels and batteries in partnership with Norwegian energy company Scatec.

The IFC is also considering investments in offshore wind and distribution capacity.
