UkraineInvest is looking for a specialist investment analyst to join its team.

Background and context

UkraineInvest is the official investment promotion agency of the Government of Ukraine. Our core mission is to attract foreign direct investment and to assist international and domestic investors to expand their activities in Ukraine. The institution plays an important role in facilitating the investment process by providing necessary information and helping investors navigate the Ukrainian investment landscape. This support is critical to accelerating Ukraine’s economic development and integration into the global marketplace.

Analysis plays an important role in fulfilling UkraineInvest’s mission by contributing to evidence-based decision-making and strategic planning. It involves the analysis of economic trends, investment patterns and market dynamics to identify opportunities and challenges in Ukraine’s investment landscape. The production of analytical presentations, fact sheets and other documents is of practical importance in providing investors with a clear, data-driven understanding of the investment climate in Ukraine. These materials synthesise complex data into actionable information, highlighting investment opportunities, risk assessments and market trends. 

By offering such comprehensive analytical support, UkraineInvest helps investors navigate the Ukrainian market with confidence, make informed decisions and strategically align their investments with the country’s economic priorities and growth sectors.

Key skills and experience:

• strong financial modelling, business valuation and investment analysis skills critical to evaluating investment opportunities in Ukraine’s unique market environment;

• at least 1-2 years of work experience in investment and/or financial analysis;

• completed higher education in the field of “economics and/or finance and/or other field of study related to the areas of activity;

• fluency in English and Ukrainian to ensure effective communication in international and local contexts;

• advanced skills in MS Excel and ideally in-house analytical software;

• excellent writing skills. Ability to translate complex issues into understandable and client-friendly terminology;

• excellent communication and presentation skills in both Ukrainian and English;

• understanding of the importance of macroeconomic processes and ability to keep data up to date;

• ability to prioritise tasks and adapt work to specific needs;

• a team player who can also take initiative.

Responsibilities:

• calculation of financial and non-financial KPIs of the project (DPP, IRR, NPV, ROIC, etc.) and sensitivity analysis;

• developing value propositions and facilitating the information campaign;

• monitoring and analysing project indicator data, assessing the level of risk and proposing appropriate mitigation measures;

• preparation of high quality presentation materials, analytical briefs and documents for foreign and local investors that not only present data but also contextualise it;

• developing proposals for improving the investment climate in Ukraine;

• providing analytical support to international companies in the implementation of their projects in Ukraine;

• monitoring macroeconomic, sectoral and other indicators to understand key global market trends;

• other analytical support.
