Ruslan Shostak, founder and co-owner of EVA and VARUS retail chains, will speak at the FIT for Ukraine: Annual Meeting.
Even during the war, retailers EVA and VARUS have ambitious business development plans—a significant plan to construct 1 million square meters of logistics hubs in Ukraine, including locations in Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro, and Kyiv. The construction of these hubs is scheduled to be completed by 2028. Currently, approximately 200,000 square meters of logistics sites are under construction. Simultaneously, negotiations are underway with Western investors interested in becoming project partners.
In 2022, the turnover of both networks reached USD 1.3 bln, compared to the pre-war figure of approximately USD 2 bln. The companies currently employ over 27,000 people. VARUS has opened at least eight stores during the year and a half of the great war, while EVA has opened 37 new stores. Over the next five to six years, EVA plans to expand to 2,000 stores, and VARUS aims to reach 1,000 stores.
