Ukraine and Turkey signed a long-anticipated FTA

The agreement was signed by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and the Minister of Trade of Turkey Mehmet MuŞ.

“The agreement will boost trade between Ukraine and Turkey, increase exports, create new jobs, transfer technology, share experiences, create favorable conditions to improve access to goods and services to the markets of Ukraine and Turkey,” stated the Prime Minister of Ukraine.

As of now Turkey is already one of the key trading partners of Ukraine. Trade turnover between Turkey and Ukraine totalled $7 billion in 2021, with Ukrainian exports worth $4.1 billion and imports worth $3.2 billion.
